Join us for a special Quota USA Zoom meeting on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 7:30 PM ET in celebration of International Women's Day.
Quota USA invites you to a special meeting to celebrate and empower women! Our guest speaker, Ms. Charlene Marshall, will discuss her inspiring story as she served as a member of Morgantown City Council, Mayor of Morgantown, and in the WV House of Delegates. She was elected for seven terms as the first Black female mayor of West Virginia and was an effective advocate for human rights and education, issues affecting the elderly, and working people. In 1994, she was selected as Mayor of the Year by the West Virginia Municipal League.
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year's theme is Embrace Equity. Worldwide groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.
We suggest that participants celebrate with champagne or wine - we will have a special toast that celebrates women all over the world.
The International Women's Day colors are purple, green and white. Wearing those colors on March 8 shows International Women's Power!
At the end of the meeting, we will have a drawing for a $100 gift card to Amazon. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. You don't want to miss it!
There are lots of opportunities for clubs to participate in International Women's Day. See more information on the Quota USA Website (under Resources) for ideas - International Women's Day
